.
Laura Pe.tru.cel.li.
She likes music, film, travel, and tattoos. Actually, she doesn't just like them but considers them her passion.
She didn't actually want to attend Bentley and with interests like those I understand why. She saw herself more suited for larger schools like NYU and Columbia with plenty of diversity and opportunities to explore her many interests. However the (completely unneccesary) SAT 2's stood in her way. Although Bentley wasn't her first choice she has been able to make due here in little ole Waltham, MA.
One way she does so was by keeping her passions alive in various forms. She currently works for a music booking agency called Karmic Music and get's exposure to what she truly likes (Which, I suppose, is second best to actually living out the "Almost Famous"-like fantasy of going out on tour with a band... which is what would have happened to her if practicality and parents didn't stand in the way). She's also been to more concerts than I can count on all my fingers and toes (which undoubtedly makes me feels a little insecure about my own concert count of *3* measly shows). She's a fan of festivals and counts the Thievery Corporation as one of her favorite shows to date. With that endorsement I might have to Youtube them.
Laura also sees herself working at ultra hip MTV someday doing whatever those guys do (I assume they just go to a lot of parties and ride scooters through the celebrity ridden hallways. Or not. Whatever.). In any case, she's not afraid to try to get her foot in the door and has already applied for their internship program. Working in TV is pretty cool but takes a lot of connections most of the time. Because of that, her Media Arts and Society double major may come in handy. If you didn't know our school has a small cult in the bottom of Lindsay that *gasps* encourages the arts. They even have Macs which is pretty scandalous if you ask me. Anyways...Hopefully this whole LSM thingy can translate into a career for her at many of the major networks including MTV.
Traveling is another love of Laura's. She's been to Italy and cannot seem to choose between her two favorite destinations. She's a frequent visitor of New York City and even though it's not outside of the US it can sometimes feel worlds away from the suburbia. Whether just traveling the country or going to the opposite side of the world, she doesn't see herself slowing down and, in fact, the traveling bug has yet to reach it's peak.
Florence Italy- One of Laura's favorite Italian cities
Lastly, underneath an unsuspecting facade of curly hair and girl next door looks lies a little bit of a rebel. She has a thing for tattoos and is currently sporting a Pisces sign to go along with her fascination for astrology. Perhaps she will tattoo the "Tilly Seven" on her arm to help her out on her exams. Or not...
As you can see Laura has a lot of varied interests and in a sea of people flocking to get their CPA just because... she's standing out and making her own path. She's not afraid to be on the outskirts of mainstream (Bentley's version of mainstream I mean) and do her own thing.

After getting to know a little bit about Laura I decided to ask her some hard!hitting!questions.
Me: Ummm
Laura: Yeahhh
Me: Soooo
Laura: *nod*
Me: What's your favorite Movie? I know I'm evil for asking this question. It's about as annoying as "What's your favorite song?"
Laura: Fight Club never saw it and yes, I am ashamed
Me: Favorite Chill Spot?
Laura: Anywhere in Manhattan? Boston who? Waltham What?
Me: Favorite Clothing Store?
Laura: Urban Outfitters not hollister or juicy couture so she's cool with me
Me: That's all I got
And that's what I've learned about Laura Petrucelli. I hope you learned something as well. And now for musical stylings from TC
